Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 7/23/26
Andrew Vitello, operating the project initiative Ace It Forward, is committed to making our digital content accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy sports and camp experiences, and we strive to ensure our website is structured so that all visitors can easily navigate our information and interest forms.
Our Commitment
We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website as digital standards evolve. Our website is built and hosted using Squarespace, which provides a technically accessible foundation. In designing our pages, we aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) best practices. This includes:
Maintaining a high visual contrast between text and backgrounds for readability.
Organizing our content with a clear, logical heading structure.
Providing descriptive alternative text (alt text) for images so screen-reading software can interpret them.
How We Support Accessibility
Web accessibility is an ongoing effort, and as an initiative, we are always looking to improve. If you are using assistive technology (such as a screen reader or magnifier) and encounter any digital barriers or formatting issues on our site, please let us know. We are more than happy to assist you personally and provide any needed information through an alternative format.
Please contact us directly at vitelloandy@gmail.com with a brief description of the page and the specific issue you encountered, and we will work to address it promptly.
