Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7/23/26

This Privacy Policy explains how Andrew Vitello, operating the project initiative Ace It Forward ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and safeguards information through our website, along with how you can contact us with questions or requests.

Camp Participation Interest Form

If you are a parent or guardian interested in future camp availability, we collect your first name (required), last name (optional), email address (required), your child's first name (optional), and your child's age (optional). We do not collect your child's last name. We ask for your child's age solely to help match your family with age-appropriate camp sessions, since many partner camps serve specific, narrow age ranges.

Partner Interest Form

If you are interested in partnering with Ace It Forward, we collect your first name (required), last name (optional), email address (required), organization name, website, and social media information (required), and any message you choose to share about your interest in partnering.

Information We Collect

We use the information collected through these forms to notify parents when new camp opportunities become available, respond to partnership inquiries, and generally communicate with you about Ace It Forward. Submitting a form does not guarantee a spot in any camp, and we do not guarantee that any follow-up email will be sent.

How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through our forms is currently collected and stored through Squarespace, the platform used to build and host our website. We may use Mailchimp in the future to send email communications. If we do, information may be transferred to Mailchimp for that purpose, and Mailchimp's own privacy practices would apply to any data stored there.

How We Store Your Information

We do not sell your information, or your child's information, to anyone.

We may share your name, email, and your child's first name and age (if provided) with a specific partner organization, but only when doing so is necessary to help place that child in a relevant camp session, and only with your consent, which you may provide directly on the Camp Participation Interest Form. We do not share this information broadly with all of our partners, and we do not share it for any purpose other than camp placement.

We do not otherwise share, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties, except as required by law.

Sharing Your Information

From time to time, we may post photos taken during camp sessions on our website.

We only post photos of camp participants with prior parental consent on camp photo release forms.

If you are a parent or guardian and would like a photo of your child removed, please contact us at vitelloandy@gmail.com and we will remove it promptly.

Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace uses cookies and similar technologies to provide necessary website functionality and to run built-in analytics that help us understand general website traffic (such as pages visited and browser types). You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. We do not currently use any third-party advertising trackers.

Analytics and Cookies

Our website is intended for use by parents, guardians, and partner organizations, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. Any information about a child collected through our forms is submitted voluntarily by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with data directly, please contact us at vitelloandy@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Children's Privacy

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. Because there is currently no industry standard for DNT signals, our website does not alter its practices when it receives a DNT signal from your browser.

California Privacy Rights & Do Not Track

You may contact us at any time to ask what information we have on file for you or your child, request that it be corrected, or request that it be deleted.

Your Rights

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
